happy 3 months!

wow. i can hardly believe that i've been married for 3 months today! it has been the greatest journey so far. having my man next to me to do every single day with, is absolutely amazing. he brings so much more life and excitement to my ordinary mundane life. he is my best friend and the one person i love doing everyday life with.

looking back over the last 3 months so much has occurred. here's what the last couple months have looked like...

May ~
while this month was a tougher one for us newlyweds, we learned much more about our roles as husband and wife. as we entered our 2nd month of marriage, we had many reality checks that challenged us to step out from our selfishness and serve the other. it's in those harder moments that you are drawn closer together. the conversations, emotions and feelings you share allow for a vulnerability and transparency far deeper than you can describe in words.

the month of may brought lots of events...

1.) we welcomed 1 of 2 new neices to the world. on april 18, tinley grace was born. jordan and i finally got to meet her over mother's day weekend...

tinley grace at 3 weeks old...

2.) we finished up our school year at nbca. we were thrilled to finally enter into our summer together and have lots of play time..which included camping to guadalupe state park

our campsite...

3.) we have spent several days floating the comal river; which has become one of our favorite things. it has provided such a calming, peaceful and yet great conversational place for us to share and talk about life.

4.) we also welcomed our second of two nieces to the world. on may 31 reese michael was born!

June ~
we started and ended this month with weddings! one was in boerne, tx and the other in cleburne. both were outside weddings and absolutely beautiful!

Life as a Mrs...

So it's been 1 month and 3 days since I became Mrs. Sugg! I can't believe we already have the first month of marriage under our belt. It has been the most beautiful, gracious, glorious, yet challenging, character building, sharpening adventure of my life thus far! I am amazed each day that the Lord allows me to spend another day being a wife to the most wonderful man. I definitely married up and I am honored to stand next to Jordan. He is God's gift to me and I feel so privileged to get to serve and love him each day. God has been washing HIS Holy word over me and showing me more ways to love Jordan than I could have fathomed on my own. I LOVE MARRIED LIFE...AND I believe I always will...though it may be tougher at times, those moments are for the better. They are making ME, making us, more like Christ.

Thank you Jesus for the man you have blessed me with! I do not deserve him at all, yet he is the one you chose before time. He is a man after your heart and that makes me run after You faster! May Your hand be upon us as we run life together! Our desire is to make much of You in bringing Glory and Honor to Your Name! Amen.

Time to Rehearse!

Thursday night before the wedding, I had my bachelorette party with a little lingerie shower afterwards. I had the greatest time with all my favorite women in my life! From sisters, to mom, to college roommates, to kanakuk friends! It was one of THE BEST times I've had with all those women! We had a great dinner that evening, then a sweet time at the Bridal Luncheon the following morning. (Luncheon Pictures coming soon!)

Friday night was the grand rehearsal! It starts to hit you when you finally have to put people in places that you have envisioned. It was a bit crazy at first, but fun getting to have all these great people in one place. Following the rehearsal, we headed to the dinner at Thistle Springs ranch. Rusty and Becky (my sweet in-laws) did a fantastic job at hosting everyone! The BBQ, fellowship and sweet words shared,  blessed Jordan and I so much!

Here are few pictures of those events...

My uncle Jim (Dad's best friend) walked me down the aisle...

We did it..we are ready for the real deal to happen! :)

Two our dear friends, Mike Meredith!
Excited for life with them!

Bridals on the Ranch...

As a bride, one of your favorite things is putting on your dress. Not just once, but as many times as you can! I had several opportunities to put on my dress, but there is one day in particular (besides my wedding day) that you get to wear it for a good chunk of time...Bridal Portraits! I chose to do my pictures on my parents ranch and then at Thistle Springs Ranch, where we held the reception. Here's a snap shot of the day...

Next up....Sugg Wedding Weekend!

Soon-to-be...

WOW! Time has flown by since I last posted. I am just 9 days away from my wedding and so much has happened since the last time I blogged. We had 4 showers...2 in February and 2 in March. Talk about a crazy couple of months! We have been so blessed by everyone's generosity in this season of our lives. Thank you to everyone who has graciously given to us!

We just came off spring break which we were able to get a lot of things finished up for the wedding. It still is surreal to me that this is about to happen. I have been looking back at old journal entries lately seeing just where God has brought me from. I have been praying for this man for so many years, wondering who it would be I would get to share my life with. Jordan has far exceeded every thought, prayer, every hope . I could not have imagine a man like him. He knows my heart and cares for me in a way that is so loving and tender. God knows I need this man for the rest of my life. He is a gift to me and I pray I will cherish him everyday.

We will head up to Cleburne next Wednesday and all the wedding events will begin Thursday with all of my bridal party arriving into town. I am SO excited to have these women surrounding me on one of the most sacred days. These women have supported, encouraged and walked right next to me for so many years.

I am praying for time to slow down for Jordan and I over the next 9 days, so that we can truly soak in every moment. Pray with us, that God would be magnified through our wedding ceremony and marriage to come!

Here are a few pictures over the past few weeks...

engagment story

since i was young i have always dreamed about my wedding day. i always dreamed of the man i would marry. who he would be like. what qualities he would have. how i would be treated. and even what he looked like. i begin to develop a vision for it and i have been praying for him since i was young.

i have watch so many others get engaged. find a dress. plan for their wedding. and even stood beside many friends, as they make a vow to the man standing next to them. i have longed to be that girl in white. to walk down the aisle with her daddy next to her. i have longed for a man to love me as Christ loves the church. i have longed for that day to yes and make a vow. to become one. to serve the Lord with the man God chose for me.

on december 21, 2012, after being sent on a scavenger hunt all around town. i stood in the center of a beautifully lit gazebo with the man that i have come to love with all my heart. i gazed into his eyes as he knelt before me and asked me to marry him. i finally was given the chance to say YES!

my heart is so full and continues to be overwhelmed with the goodness of God and His love for me. soon i will get to put on my dress, walk down the aisle towards the man God has chosen for me. soon i will stand before family and many friends and make a covenant with jordan as we join together as one in Christ.

just 57 days to go!!
